Urgent recall of Aldi baby food

A popular baby food product sold at supermarkets across the country has been urgently recalled over an undeclared allergen.

The food regulator issued a recall notice on Friday for ALDI Mamia Organic brand baby puffs due the undeclared presence of gluten.

In the notice, Food Standards warned any consumer with a gluten allergy or intolerance might have a reaction if the product is consumed.

โ€œConsumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume these products,โ€ the notice said.

โ€œAny consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.โ€

Both the apple and cinnamon and blueberry and carroty flavours were affected by the recall.

They were sold at ALDI supermarkets in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and the ACT.

Buyers were urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
