Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

nice spot there isn't it Laney.. I suspect a lot would be holiday houses

Dad did 2 mystery presents this year... it's after we do the real present handing out,  we have these mystery ones and who guesses what it is wins. this year he had 2- one was a barometer ( his clue was he would let us know if our answers were hot or cold, that was a dead give-away and i won that one) we are allowed to ask a question each.

the 2nd one was a pkt of chopsticks- his clue was that it was Japanase- My niece who has been living in Japan only had to shake the box once and she guessed it straight away

one year it was a soggy cucumber  Woman Surprised

I am very pleased he has lifted his game since then   Woman LOL

I suppose we are a bit odd, but we have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.. the kids ( all in their twenties I might add) absolutely love it

Not odd at all Deb ..... those family traditions are what make the patchwork of memories all the more colourful.

You just reminded me of something my Dad and I would do when we used to travel to work/business college together on the ferry.

When we got to Circular Quay we would become 'sidewalk superintendants' at the building sites between the quay and our respective offices.  We would peer through the holes in the hoardings (specially cut for superintending purposes) and discuss how we would move the holes that had been excavated .... whether they would fit through the Heads without damaging the edges if we tried to float them out, whether they would fit another site just up the road, the cost of transporting them to alternate sites.  Folks used to give us the most peculiar looks but we continued ...... and laughed all the way to our offices.

....and you think your family was odd Smiley Surprised

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Deb

Thats a cracker!

Cooler here today - took early mark from the office too.  Apart from that, nothing of any import to report.

Did something I rarely do this afternoon - had a read around the traps ..... Smiley Surprised

Quite enlightening but sad in a way too.  What did some do before 'anti-social media' or should it be called the employers' scourge?

Guess I am old school when it comes to the work environment .........
