Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Well I am still here.

I promised our daughter I would help her paint her loungeroom tomorrow.............what was I thinking.....Cat LOL

Last weekend hubby and I went down to Hastings Caves and did the Ida Bay Railway trip.

We decided to go for a swim in the thermal pool...............it was darn freezing..........and their was fog all still on the ground.

We were the only ones there................it was rather beautiful being outside in all that fog.

Deb............I am always up early...............and late.............I am not a good sleeper at the best of times.

Those two men still have not been found...............they are saying now it is most likely a recovery.

TGSE............do you find the support groups beneficial.......we keep being given information for hubby about them.................but have never bothered because we felt we were doing OK...............but I never gave it a thought that hubby may benefit from talking to others facing the same things.

Dark Mofo starts here tomorrow..............I love it..............it is rather popular.

Hopefully there are some things I can take some good pictures of.

Mr Elephant has pleural plaques - the result of asbestos exposure. It is not a life threatening condition but it does make him more than usually susceptible to resperatory tract infections. He tends to be a bit of a panic merchant, so when I found a brochure for  the Impaired Lung Fuction Support Group in our local library I sent him along hoping that seeing poeple with really severe problems might help to put things into perspective for him. It did. Several of those in the group  have only one functioning lung and one or two have to cart oxygen bottle around everywhere with them.

Having said that, they are really nice people and I think he enjoys the companionship. I don't think they sit around comparing notes, but, theydo look out for each other and  have had some interesting speakers on various topics ranging from health issues to , self help and kegal matters. I don'r usually attend the meetings but I go to the social functions and I went along this month as they've had rather low attendances lately and needed to make up the numbers.

geez She-ele

I had no idea your hubby had asbestos exposure. I think the support groups are good. When Dad first got diagnosed with prostate cancer he  went along to a group. just like that..As you say , it makes people aware that others are going through the same things etc.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I'll suggest to hubby to consider the support group............I doubt he will though............because at the clinic we are a good 20 years younger than those there.

Off to paint our daughters loungeroom.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi folks.

The sun shone on us today so we took the ebikes out for a spin. It's a lovely ride along the seafront, but the wind was really blowy and right in our faces - not a struggle on ebikes but a bit chilly.

We had breakfast at The Dome on the waterfront. Usually we sit outside under the trees, but it was too cold today. I had my  eggs benedict fix (I think I'm addicted)  and a cappuchino. coming home was much nicer with the wind behind us and we did our usual tour round Big Swamp to check out the birdlife.

Sounds nice she-ele, I would do just about anything for a little bit of sunshine. I am over winter already and it's only just started lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

Well the painting is done............it looks quite good.

She picked a light grey...........and did the mantle wall a dark grey

.

In a fortnights time we are going to tackle her hall.................there will be lots of cutting in for the hall..........she has about 5 doors off it.

Hubby and I went to the New Norfolk Mental Institution today for their Dark Mofo...."Entry by Mirror"

It was awful...............I don't know how they call it art.

If you google the name of the display you will see what I mean...............horrible.

I wanted to see the old buildings............and I did.

But I couldn't take any pictures because of all the art.............I just didn't want to.

So to cheer myself up I decided to go to Maccas and get an icecream cone...................but they had none.....Cat Surprised

So back home..............and a Monte Carlo biscuit it was.............Cat Embarassed

The men in the family picked tea tonight.............steak eggs and chips.................I think I will have a mushroom omlette instead............not a red meat eater)

Laney......................where are you?

I wish Prim would pop in too.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Well done on completing the painting Flashie. I find doors a bit tedious as you usually have to do a few coats

will Google the "artwork" and have a look

i'm eating a bit too much chocolate lately, might go for a walk tonight if it`s not raining. It's darn cold though
