Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hiya Deb

Yes, I was glad to see they had 'landed' safely - pretty good time too!

I think the shark issue happened so quickly that few knew about it.  There were also media reports that the swim had been called off as well but that was not true.

Tiring of all the repeats on Channel 7 with the olympics, especially when they announce it as 'live' but it has already been broadcast earlier in the day Smiley Mad

Afraid I am sick of commentators who have obviously never strapped on skis voicing their opinions about events as if they know all about it lol. With the footy season startiing soon we will have had more than our fill of Basil Zempilas before the season starts.

I just saw that a new series of Grand Designs commences tomorrow night - love that show but because of the closing ceremony will have to catch it in iview afterwards.

Re: Round Table Revisited

The technology employed in the closing ceremony was amazing but it got a bit ho-hum after a while.

There was a lack of explanation of the history being represented and given many would not be familiar with Korean history, I suspect much of it was lost.

That said, they did a fantastic job so congratulations to them.  A fascinating country but I am not a fan of their kim-chi!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Last day of summer tomorrow and here in the wonderful west it already feels like Autumn has arrived!

Not without some huge storms down south - fortunately for us we were not affected but I do feel for those who were.

High blue sky and oodles of sunshine but a hint of cool air - it's delicious Smiley Happy

I wonder how many remember Ainslie Gotto - she died on Sunday.

Finally some peace for you Ainslie.

Not so for C. Y. O'Connor whose bronze statue in the water at North Coogee Beach was vandalised on Sunday. Fortunately his torso was found on the ocean floor and can be restored.  What is wrong with the mindless people who do this sort of thing  Smiley Mad

Re: Round Table Revisited

The weather has cooled a lot over here in Sydney too, thank goodness.

We've even had a bit of rain. Blink, and you would have missed it, although in other parts of NSW in the north,  there was flooding.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Deb

We do not have the same seasonal colour changes here and I do miss those from up in the mountains.  I had the most beautiful Japanese maples outside the bedroom window there and the colours were spectacular.  There are compensations though Smiley Very Happy

We totally forgot that this weekend is a long weekend here in the wonderful west.  The warning signs on the roads about double demerit points alerted me as I was doing a hospital pick up of a friend and driving him home!  He had forgotten about it too ........ that is the retirement lifestyle for you Smiley LOL

Hope you and your OH have an enjoyable weekend planned Deb.
