THE NEWDAILYKevin Rudd has made blistering accusations that News Corp runs a “protection racket” for the government and acts to “radicalise” Australians, drawing links between founder Rupert Murdoch and the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6.
“Murdoch is, by any objective measure, not a fit and proper person to control a media empire in Australia,” former prime minister Rudd wrote in a federal parliamentary submission.
“The Liberal Party is now at risk of becoming a fully captured subsidiary of the Murdoch media.”
Mr Rudd made the claims in a scorching submission to the Senate’s communications committee, which is currently running an inquiry into ‘Media diversity in Australia’.

It doesn't read well for News Corp. But the woman now complaining worked for them for 29 years and cooperated so she could keep working for them. It appears being an accomplice is ok if you are getting paid for it.

All of the journos who gave evidence said that the culture changed during their time woking in the slimepool, that it had not always been as toxic as it became.

But very obviously it was toxic during a period of time she was there, and remained there. And she contributed by doing what was required of her. Her photography work appeared in The Australian, Courier Mail, and Cairns Post, and she claims she was discriminated against because she is a woman. Yet she stayed and cooperated because she wanted to keep her job. She went along with the cultural change for some period of time. While News Corp clearly needs to be held accountable, she's not squeaky clean either.

It's one reason why the Slime King's domination of the media is so dangerous - there are **bleep**all other opportunities for senior journos who want to practise their craft at an appropriate level.
