Sineater - psst...in here

I just watched Materchef  US Season 5 Episode 1

(Thought I better start a new thread and not hijack the Australian one)

Plus we can add Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares to this one too.

Re: Sineater - psst...in here

i look forward to your take on the show and the contestants! 🙂

perhaps your input will convince others to watch and chat about it too, that would be FABULOUS!

i just LOVE talking about my favorite shows, don't you?

and recipes,of course, but that would need a different thread,so we stay on topic on THIS thread, right? 🙂

i think i'll start a thread for recipes....hhmmm...what shall i call it? i'll have to think on it awhile...

btw, what do you think of leslie,on masterchef?

Re: Sineater - psst...in here

okay to PM you?

and yes, scotty for the win, although i was TOTALLY against him at first. i really wanted joy to win,but she left on her own, that was really disappointing.

Re: Sineater - psst...in here

I wanted Joy to win also Sin. I think she really blew it.  They didn't even have her cook in the finale. : (

Also the other one....the one that gave the bird as she was leaving? I noticed she didn't return either. Smiley Wink

I think Jason is a good cook, but really not mature enough to be head chef, imo. I was just surprised that two guys made it to the end. In the beginning of the show the women seemed so much stronger. I think Scott really showed his stuff in the last challenge though and really came through as a leader. Which is almost as important as being a skilled chef. I think that's what gave him the edge.

Re: Sineater - psst...in here

absolutely, polly. i am NOT a schooled chef, just self taught( or work taught) . my 2 biggest skills are coordinating a kitchen, and pretty food. but i'm also a pretty good cook, lol!

i really WISH that scott had shown his REAL talents earlier, because he IS very talented, and i finally see that.

joy...she broke my heart. she was SO good!! i'm hoping that, like jason did, she'll come back in another season.

it was a pretty good season, though, much better than season 11!

so,are you and the noid watching masterchef,by any chance?  and thank you for not killing me for the beets!!  😄

Re: Sineater - psst...in here

What?  The beetroot?  The Aussie Burger?\\

Open a can        and you get this

Then you put it on this

(That should have a fried egg on it for a real Aussie Burger) - sorry, bit big, lol

Or my MIL's Rote Rueben Salat

But I grate the beetroot instead of slicing it
