...and the cops would probably want to know what you base that on Meep? The Vibe? Don't you reckon they deal with domestic disputes arising from separations on an 'epidemic level'? = "he said, she said'. It's only what you can PROVE. Trust me.... Seriously....suspicion isn't proof....and that's what the law requires...just saying.
Why are you revving this person up instead of reassuring her it may have been something else? Crikey...no offense, but it's seriously unnecessary. Anyway...enuf said. Good luck OP...exercise common sense as well as suspicion....unless your ex has a 'known history of violence'. e.g. not just words but actual assault? JMO

is there a reason why you chose my opinion to object to when others have said the same? Expert opinion? ......what an odd comment
...again twinkles...no offense, but you can't generalise your own 'expert report' to someone else's situation...(e.g. the law wouldn't recognise that).....it's a matter of elimination....that's all....How hard is that?

Wouldn't the fear of the unknown be worse? The OP has already stated the ex would never hurt her physically. He may be just playing mind games

The OP's family thought that it might be the ex, so not much of a stretch to think the same.
on 22-02-2013 11:45 AM
I think it is a bit much also jumping to the conclusion that it was the ex. It could have been anyone..if not caused by wind etc.
Kylie - have you thought about getting a/some security cameras around your house? You could mention that you are thinking of doing this to the ex and see how he reacts.

I didn't 'choose' your opinion, I simply responded to it because it didn't make sense to me. Maybe I've misunderstood your meaning.
All I'm saying is, rather than jumping to conclusions, the OP would be better off trying to find out how it happened via those who are in fact experts. Ring a roofing company who does that kind of roof (send an email of the pics) and ask them what they think might have caused it. Easy enough. That way there's no guessing & the cops will respond to deliberate tampering if it's proven. It may just be kids goofing off.
Maybe the OP needs support in finding some way to sort out a truce. See the problem is that they share a child and nothing is going to change that. Even a family court will consider his rights equally, so it's not a bad place to start i.e. equal footing.
Twinkles & Meep, my apologies if I seemed to come on strong = I'm never backward about coming forward, no offense intended.

Yes, it would Meep, & that's why I'm suggesting that the OP eliminate all other possibilities. Nothing's far fetched these days is it? Always good to check over your shoulder just in case I reckon.

Hi Kylie, Did you notice any windows slightly open around that time ? I'm just wondering if someone could come in that way .. and perhaps leave a window slightly unlocked/open for better/easier access at a later date ?

OT but #85 now you are giving advice on things you have no idea about. It's the children's rights the court looks at, and what is best for them, not the parents.
The tiles were stacked up in a couple of piles, yes I'm sure they got like that magically.

I guess they've eliminated the possibilities, ie a possum and wind don't stack tiles in a pile. So it has to be of human origin. Even though it was her BIL that checked, he is a builder and while might not be a roofer he would still have a good idea.
The only assumption made is who it might be and thats a hard thing to prove unless someone saw the person do it.
You can buy day/night security IP cameras. I would install a couple. They are not expensive and are of good enough quality to identify anyone on your property. I brought one on ebay and its brilliant.
It'll give you that much more security and identify if someone is hanging around.
