Here we go again - after three years of a Federal minority ALP government "propped" up by two "independents" representing conservative seats the ALP in SA on only 47% of the two party preferred vote is now propped up by a single independent whos electorate is a very conservative one (Labor got what 8% of the vote there?)...
No matter how the diehards try and sugar coat it SA labor didnt win, they may be in power but thats by default only and can not be called a victory at all.
Labor lost 3-4 seats, they got less votes than the Libs and the biggest kick in the teeth for them is they now have to now rely on an independent and be held hostage to him. Another Oakeshot and Windsor. Geoff Brock is a turncoat and goes against his conservative electorate for a few pieces of silver as this is his last term as their member after this.
On a 2PP basis, the Liberals resulted 54.7% vs Labor's 45.3%. Even higher than any opinion poll was actually suggesting.
The people of SA dont want labor but due to the weird gerrymander voting system and a turncoat independent the people will be forced to endure another 4 years of chaos.

an unexpected loss for the LNP too
when the tide turns it often turns in a big way every state, but not this time
I heard that natonwide the last fed election figures were 45% LNP 40% labor 15% other that's not a huge win either really if those figures are correct.

and the Libs would hardly ever win if they weren't in a coalition with the Nationals. at least SA won't have a disaster of a government like the Qld libs who are the biggest joke in Qld history and the worst govt since Jo.

really says it all...."that they said they would bring in".....
broken promises
polly speak
unaccountable for anything they say OR do.
......I reckon politicians should be (legally) answerable- similar as CEO's of Govt Depts even e.g. Public Sector Management Act etc.
Nail the lil' liars

Labor 23seats libs22 Labor win more seats. labor win.
libs sour grapes , full.
The independent chose the side he felt more competent, just as they did federally. these guys are closer to the parliament and know the players better than almost anyone else. better than bolt better than dim conservatives.. they actually know which the better choice is unlike vocal partisan pundits from the outside. The liberals could not form government on the numbers Labor could. Labor Win
