Here we go again - after three years of a Federal minority ALP government "propped" up by two "independents" representing conservative seats the ALP in SA on only 47% of the two party preferred vote is now propped up by a single independent whos electorate is a very conservative one (Labor got what 8% of the vote there?)...
No matter how the diehards try and sugar coat it SA labor didnt win, they may be in power but thats by default only and can not be called a victory at all.
Labor lost 3-4 seats, they got less votes than the Libs and the biggest kick in the teeth for them is they now have to now rely on an independent and be held hostage to him. Another Oakeshot and Windsor. Geoff Brock is a turncoat and goes against his conservative electorate for a few pieces of silver as this is his last term as their member after this.
On a 2PP basis, the Liberals resulted 54.7% vs Labor's 45.3%. Even higher than any opinion poll was actually suggesting.
The people of SA dont want labor but due to the weird gerrymander voting system and a turncoat independent the people will be forced to endure another 4 years of chaos.

However you may try and spin it - the LNP LOST, the LNP didn't win, the bitterness displayed by the LNP losers is getting a little tired, maybe time to accept it.
‘‘But my sole motivation has been to arrive at a decision that is right for South Australia and the stability of this state.’’
quote above from Mr Brock.

One of them being a big chunk of money put into my daughters high school 😞
So you sold your soul for a few pieces of silver and went against your consertative leanings 😞

No Labor didnt win, an independent won with the deal he did, his electorate lost and was sold out and the majority of voters of SA lost and can feel sold out
Labor won nothing as they are now held hostage yet again by an independent
That looks like a minority to me regardless of the result.....On a 2PP basis, the Liberals resulted 54.7% vs Labor's 45.3%
I do hope that you get your pieces of silver, I do hope that the Labor govt dont sell you out....

That is the way I vote, I look at what they are offering, I look at past performance, then I choose who to vote for. Never ever would I choose a party and blindly follow them.

actually the people in his seat will get the most representation they have ever had, if he was a national in an LNP government he'd be a mere rubber stamp and the region would be ignored. you aren't a student of politics are you ? the federal libs won government (howard V beazley) when beazley won more of the popular vote but howard more seats. no disingenuous talk of gerrymander then (which btw is an incorrect term in this context, see joh's Qld for a genuine example)
