I often see them in the op shops and think pffft, what a useless item. As if you couldn't use a saucer or whatever you have at hand while you're cooking. Making bolognese tonight I just rested the spoon on the side of the can.

yep, love my mouli
he gets a lot of work here for purees and sauces (lousy spoon rest and not very good rice washer thingy LOL)
I put cooked potato through it for dauphinoise potato too
tried to mince em a few times and they made all the starch come out of the potato and made the dauphinoise explode!
