Re: Surprise ...... ABS has crashed

Thought I should post this here as well -

I took a screenie of MSN news.

They say you have until Sept 18th to do the paper one, and the 23rd to do it on-line.

So I'll do it at my leisure.     Ta very much

Re: Surprise ...... ABS has crashed

I have filled in the paper form and if I cannot do it online tomorrow I will just stuff it in the envelope and send it off.

Just another stuff up for this Census....not very encouraging overall.  I wonder how long it will be before there are leaks of confidential information.

An absolute shambles ....  Woman LOL   Mr. Tas (who works in IT) and his colleagues had a sweep early yesterday, and he won $30 this morning.  It was a special sweep concerning how long it would take the internet census site to crash, and he was spot on ....  Smiley Tongue

Re: Surprise ...... ABS has crashed

I did mine online about 6.30am yesterday morning. Was going to save it to submit later but then thought, what the heck, take a gamble you'll still be alive & kicking and at home this evening etc

Pushed submit, all done, the site was working like a charm.

I was surprised to see on it that it said over one million aussies had already submitted theirs online.

Ah well, I suppose it will all be up and running okay for the next few days. I do hope most people tick the box for allowing their info to be released in 100 years. I do a lot of family research and the 1901 and 1911 british census forms have been a godsend. It really is a criminal shame if info is destroyed. None of us will be here in 100 years anyway so what will it hurt?
