There is ABSOLUTELY nothing that the woman could have done to him that would justify burning her and the 3 children alive. Give it a rest....I never made these statements and are dissapointed you and several other posters would suggest I did say that..... Your post is verging on being defamatory.
What I did say could be an issue and this has since been confirmed by several media reports was that the father had been denied access to his children by the family court for an extended period of time. While accusations of DV had been made against the father there have been no reports that I have seen that he was ever convicted of DV offences.
There have also been media reports including by Tory Shepard ( A left leaning Jurno ) that it was the issues with the family court that the detective who was stood down, was reffering too. All consistent with my posts throughout this thread.
If the family court is not functioning as it should and it is causing men such distress that it triggers this type of violence then part of the solution to DV is to ensure the Family Court is acting in a balanced and fair way.
As for the idea that it is only men who commit DV, on the two occasions I mentioned in another post where I have had to disarm a person with a knife, it was a woman holding the knife and intent on stabbing her male partner. I was called by them to be present as a mediator as things where not travelling well. Yes she has mental health problems and yes I am paying for her to recieve proffesional support........... $180 for todays appointment out of my pocket. !
While many on this forum sit at home whinging and whining, I,m actually out there getting my hands dirty and spending my own money to assist some of these people. I dont take kindly to the suggestions I support DV or other forms of violence from people who do nothing constructive to actually make real changes in troubled people lives.
If you are going to critisize me, get off your butt, go down some cold, dark ally at 3.00 am and start handing out warm food and paying for homeless peoples medical bills and housing..... NO......... too dangerous ? Too uncomfortable ? Too dirty ? .......Then get off my back !!!
Of course, there needs to be help for anybody with mental illness, including men. And there are already groups trying to to that. Unfortunately, mental health on the whole is very much neglected. I do not like making it into polarising "men's problem and women's problem". It's our problem; it involves all of us.
