Re: The ALDI thread

I like Aldi, don't shop there regularly as with just 2 of us, I find it easier to go to a small shopping centre closer.......... however, I will need to do a big shop tomorrow as I have grandchildren coming for holidays. M y sister is a fan, she has a weekly shop and goes there at 7.30am on specials day, 1/2 hour wait for opening. I don't need anything that badly!Woman LOL

"We believe that the two particular cases of the frozen burgers from Tesco and the lasagne from Findus are linked to suppliers in Ireland and France respectively. We and the Food Standards Agency are working closely with the authorities in these countries, as well as with Europol, to get to the root of the problem," he said.

Paterson said he believed the food was safe but urged consumers to return products to the retailers. "The French authorities are saying they are viewing the issue as a case of fraud rather than food safety.

Re: The ALDI thread

I don't shop there very often as it isn't that convenient for me to get to the nearest one.

However, the few times I have shopped there, no staff were checking any customers bags. Perhaps it depends on the local area  the store is situated in, whether they do that or not?
