Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.
Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.
So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.
Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.
And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.
Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

Last night was basque chicken cooked in the magic cooker thing from France ....
Tonight, it will be hunting and gathering something or the other with great speed, and that will be hurled onto a plate to escort a miniature pork chop surrounded by peas!

Tas, is this your way of not getting uppity? hahahahaha
The magic cooker thing from France....do you use it often, and how magic is it?

.... nah, no uppities here Stawks'! Any real cooking "skills" here can be said to be generated only by the knowledge of the cooker itself, push a button and bingo.
It really is magic and comes with a most splendid cookbook. We were most fortunate as the usually optional accessories came with it because it was a 2017 Mother's Day bonus.
The magic cooker is not unlike the TMix (but it's safer and won't blow up ... ), it's called Cuisine Companion; we invested in it at half the price of the other over the overpriced brand. We also have a Thermocook which does the same, but that is on permanent loan and difficult to use in comparison so I keep asking the owners/friends to come get it, but they don't want it back ...
PS ... I just looked in the freezer and all the peas have gone ...

I bought a Tefal Cook4Me for grandaughter's engagement. They're both new to cooking,
and this thing tells you step by step what to do, in a little window.
It's basically a pressure cooker, so dinner is ready quickly and easily after they get home from work.
They love it.

What a wonderful gift you have given your grandaughter Stawks, an excellent choice and so very practical.
We've got an electric pressure cooker that sort of does the same thing but not as good as the Tefal Cook4Me.
Hope they have a splendid time experimenting with it.

Dinner at my old club tonight. The 100 pointer, My wife, son and his girlfriend. Steaks all round.
Tas: How was the taste of the cheese cake??.

Snap, Trav.
Steaks at our place tonight.

Trav .. we had a reasonably sized piece of the cheesecake last night ... well, what can I say, it was a miracle, lovely and smooth not gritty and the taste was divine.
A most splendid recipe and success xxxx
Because it is so big though, I've cut it into pieces and put it into the freezer, separating each piece between cling wrap. I've often heard it said you shouldn't freeze cheesecake, but if it's baked, I can't see why not from a purely scientific point of view.
I'm off to the north-west coast in a few minutes, so I'll be back later to see what people here have to say about freezing cheesecakes ..

I googled cos no-one asnwered Tas.
You are in luck – cheesecakes freeze incredibly well. To freeze, place the cooled cheesecake on a baking pan and freeze, uncovered, until firm. Remove the cheesecake from the freezer, wrap it in heavy duty aluminum foil and place in a freezer bag. ... Thaw the cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight.
But if you froze slices, I'd remove the cling wrap before defrosting. Otherwise, that could get messy.
