The All New Tas - What's for Dinner Thread - & - Don't Get Uppity.

Tas mentioned there was a good thread on - What's for Dinner.

Seems it ended up - a bit ' snooty '.

So - no fancy - dancy - stuff - just good fresh ideas for dins.

Oh - & Freddie - just loved the zucchini slice - if you could just put it here one more time - I swear not to lose it again.

And please - this time add the - zucchinis. lol.

Here - tonight - Chicken Schnit's with salad.

No idea what's for dinner tonight!  The house is full of musicians and they came fully armed with all sorts of foodstuffs ....  Woman LOL   Most likely it's 'gobble and go', every man for himself!

I wanted to make steak sandwiches for dinner.

My wife wanted a takeaway spicy chicken wrap and some chips.

So much for making steak sandwiches. I ended up with a takeaway hamburger & chips.

On the plus side, I didn't have to clean the kitchen. Smiley Very Happy

Almost snap, Trav.

I had grilled chicken, waffle fries and coleslaw.

Hubby had a hamburger and shared the waffle fries.

Trav, I made a late start on the lasagne, forgetting it was 4 hours cooking time for the sauce etc.

Finally finished at about 7.30pm and bunged it in the fridge for tonight.

Tastes better the next day anyway.    Garlic bread to go with it.

Makes it an easy Mother's Day.

Agree with you about it tasting better the next day.

Wife usually makes one large enough so we can have some the following day, yum!.

Took mum to a place called Lady Lavender for lunch at Bunyip.

It's a small lavender farm with a restaurant/cafe doing lunch and high tea.

Very cosy. I had a Ploughmans roll and mum had a chicken n leek pot pie.

You're a good boy, Kopes.  Bet mum appreciated it.

That's a long drive.  I had to google Bunyip.  That's ½ way to Richo's!

But if you're eastern subs, maybe not so long a drive.

Yep, 45 min drive along the freeway.

Mum liked it, has a nice old english cottage feel to it with all genuine antiques.

Waitresses wearing long skirts to the floor with aprons.

Dinner tonight, I might ring the local Chinese for a takeaway.(wife has been out lunching since about 1pm)

Although I did eat a box of Maltesers earlier, still I could go for the rainbow steak & rice. Will call them shortly & go pick it up.
