OK I know it's lousy but such a fun show to watch and I miss MasterChef.
Anyone else watching the show, you've got to read this hilarious article about the latest episode 😄

People really watch that show?

Too high-brow for you ?

Yes, I've been watching it and reading several of the blogs. The blogs are better than the show actually.
I'm missing Masterchef too.
I felt a bit sorry for the Madeleine girl. Not the type of girl who could thrive on this sort of show.
Obviously shy, very nervous, very aware of the cameras, not much self confidence. I don't think it was vanity speaking at all when she made the comments about her hair, mascara etc
She had probably just spent a couple of hours in with make up, hairdressing & wardrobe dept (which would sort of reinforce the view the producers were after glamour) & then the date was washed out in an absolute deluge of rain.
Any of the other contestants would have been thinking the same things, like oh darn, my hair. The difference is the self confident ones would have got on with things, acted more carefree, had something to eat etc
Basically, this show isn't about love, or even attraction yet.
It's just a competition. They would all want a rose even if it was Donald Duck handing them out. Who would want to be identified as the least attractive out of 19 others or whatever by missing out?

I have watched bits of the repeats, and I can't cop the vocal fry of some of the women. Very unattractive, and silly because they are in danger of damaging their vocal chords.
Also hard to avoid at is the wig on the male assistant/announcer.

I had to google that 😄

Just for the guys, explain to us why the 3 women with the same date were upset when they clearly had a good time?
on 15-08-2015 10:09 PM
Because they all want to feel 'special' and 'unique' and they all want to make the other contestants jealous, and, as its a competition, they all want to win.
Not that I watch it or anything...lol

Logically, because they all know in advance this is a TV show and not a charity or dating agency then no, they shouldn't be upset, they should be prepared for anything.
But I think Jacinda felt let down. From what she said (so i read in a blog), she had been in the house for a month, had never been on a date with the guy, had seen lots of others going out on amazing outings and then she thought it was her turn.
She knew a few things went wrong & was prepared to shrug them off but had noticed the bache seemed distracted.
I think, as youcandoit said, it made her feel he hadn't picked her out for a date to really get to know her, she wasn't in any way special & he had set her & the others up for a bit of a laugh. It wasn't the genuine type of date she had been hoping for, I guess.

It made me muse though.... TV makes people do some strange things. Why does anyone have to 'prove' anything to a date by eating fried crickets or whatever?
Admittedly I'm old and not on any dating scene for decades but I would have just said I would eat the salad but give the other bits a miss, thank you very much.

Why did he pick the wrong two? She was the only one I really liked on this triple date and she had such a great sense of humour all day until she found out that she was just part of a prank.
TV show or not, she felt I suppose like she was superfluous to the show and played the patsy before she was booted.
