Re: The Official West Australia Thread!

Hi dixo,

we have heaps of your rellies here ! Just about every night I place one of them back outside in the garden. They even go swimming in the cats water bowl. The cats don't seem to mind, they don't chase them, they just sit and watch them.

As for snakes, having cane and macadamia farms all around us, it's only natural to have some.

I suppose there is a snake catcher, never had to call one though.

A carpet snake tried to have bella for food supple over winter, but luckily I heard a noise and investigated, bella went one way and snake went the other !

Poor soul I didn't say hi....too horrified at the picture of the snakey.

I would love to see a pic of you on your ride on mower.

Your outfit sounds very fetching!

Are you having lots of rain up there atm?

I meant to go outside to listen for ribet ribets last night, but forgot. I am truly hoping there are lots more out there and I didn't kill the one and only. I used to like to walk around the garden at dusk trying to located where their noises were coming from.

Yep soul work is getting busier although I guess you wouldn't know it from the amount of time I spend on here. Actually it's just a way of putting of the dreaded paperwork for BAS etc. and order have to be put in before the end of month to guarantee delivery for Jan next year.

The building is actuallly going ahead in leaps and bounds (TG), but still think it will be well after Xmas when it is finished.

They are off to Bali on Friday.........will be very quiet and peaceful in the house but I have a list of about 20 projects I want to do while they are away.

Ripet soul, yeah us froggies are to snakes what chocolate is to humans and if you have frogs you inevitably have snakes.:-(

I'm sooo glad bella escaped, bet she is too :^O

National parks and wildlife or local councils usually have the numbers for local snake catchers. When ever I've needed them, they operate on donations and actually love rescuing and re homing the darling, slithery things.... go figure huh ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yikes? Really? Does that mean somewhere in my yard there must be a snake?

Oh no!

Mind you it would eat the rats too wouldn't it?

I do have a bit of a rat problem, they live in a neighbours pam trees and run along my back fence, and then come and eat my figs when they are in fruit.
