Once again we hear of another incident in France, involving an individual of the islamic faith. Disturbing as this must be to those who were involved, Passengers, Train Employees, Police/Military, and the three very brave "rescuers", there are some worrying aspects of this latest incident.
We must remember our history, and France for many, many, many, years held control over vast sections of upper Africa, with most of the populations being of the islamic faith. In the 1960's France gave up "her control" of most of these provinces, and allowed them to have self rule. Those countries have never forgotten, or in some cases their peoples, have never "forgiven France" for her treatment of them. Countries such as Algeria, Lybia, Tunisia, and others.
It seems now that another generation of upper African nationalities have organized themselves to "remind" France and her people, that the call of islam is being answered, and directed at "their former masters".
Is this a real call to islam ? or is the islamic faith being used as a "trogen horse" ? to achieve other means or attention ?
