Ah, this thread is going so well, isn't it?
on โ20-08-2014 11:30 AM
LOL you guys honestly...
Sorry puddleback, I love the photo threads, dont really go into the chat threads cos I never post photos but I like to look and Kudo the ones I like.
Why would it bother someone if theres a bit of complaining? Is there a law against that now? Sheesh if we all got along and agreed upon every little thing, I cant imagine the discussions woulb be very interesting at all...
on โ20-08-2014 11:36 AM
My complaint is still a complaint.
on โ20-08-2014 11:37 AM
Second I agree with you completely but some people feel the need to bring up the same issues again and again...it is exhausting for those trying to run the challenge...I did it for one week and never again...
No one is forced to read this thread, nor the chat thread or even the photo challenge thread. Those of us who have to ie Pimpy, Roserobin, myself (amongst others) are tired of saying its a fun challenge no big list of rules and regulations but it seems some people won't accept that concept....
I am simply trying to keep that conflict out of the main threads...
And as everyone is so fond of saying I am within my rights to post any thread topic I choose ...

Fair enough. I'm a bit oblivious, are people a bit too competative or something?
on โ20-08-2014 11:46 AM
I have no idea Second.....it is fair enough when it is a genuine question about how the challenge works butwhen the same whinges/digs/complaints come up time and a gain within the same thread it gets a bit much...
As I have said before...if you don't think the photo fits the theme/rules don't kudo it. I think we are all intelligent enough to work that out for ourselves....

Ok. I'm not a photo geek like lotsa peeps on here,
so my eyes get a bit glazed over when the conversation
is about shutter speed, what lens exposure, ad nauseum.
But it's hard to just keep scrolling, like some would suggest,
if it takes up most of the page.
Maybe not look at the chat thread? Is that the answer?
edit: should the people with technical questions pm each other?
on โ20-08-2014 11:52 AM
I think the technical discussions are few and far between. They don't bother me all that much and a lot does go over my head. And in reality talking about how a shot was acheived is one of the original reasons for the chat thread so that discussion of photos didn't clog up the actual challenge thread.
I have picked up a few tips about using my camera so I am happy to see them there..swings and roundabouts...

I'm complaining that no-one's informed me that there are complaints about the photo/photo chat thread
