German Magazine Bild has published a picture of Kate Middleton's bare bottom which was exposed as her dress flew up after she alighted from a helicopter during her recent visit to the Blue Mountains in NSW:
German newspaper Bild features the shot on their website along with another picture of Kate in Canada in 2011 when her yellow Jenny Packham dress did exactly the same thing.
Both pictures were taken shortly after she disembarked from a helicopter, with the wind from the propellers causing her dress to blow up.
The photographs have sparked comments online about why Kate doesn't wear weights in her hems like the Queen to avoid future wardrobe mishaps.
One Twitter user wrote: "Why doesn't she weight her hems?"
What I want to know is, why isn't she wearing any underwear?

Yes, I can understand that response.. I'm sure it was with men like you in mind that he snapped it and hawked it around the magazine industry.

who, especially a wife of a military man familiar with skirt blowing from helicopter blades-William, would not expect this to happen and would therefor dress accordingly for the day of helicopter riding where skirt blowing would definitely be a possibilty?
...........*'thong on? check!!' ...*Kate checking her to do and wear list on morning of copter ride.
I don't think so. get real.

Some of the dresses in question would not suit weights. They'd make the hemlines sag under the weight in places.

the only way around it without weight thingys would have been to hold your dress down, I only saw a pic, maybe she did try?
about the g-string (not thong, **bleep** we're Aussies) it might be seen as inappropriate.. but hey they are British 😉
Icy- lol @ wheres her underwear, she's Kate Middleton, not Lohan or Spears or Hilton. she'd have to be wearing some type of underwear.

Just seems strange she would a.)wear a short light dress that easily blows up in windy conditions when she knows she'll going on a helicopter ride, then b.) wears no visible underwear?
Apparently it wasn't the first time it happened, either.
I can understand she wouldn't want to wear a tight-fitting dress which would impede her getting in and out of a 'copter. Last time they were in the Blue Mountains she wore jeans and a shirt. Maybe this occasion was more formal.

....just another 'distraction' story attempting to appease/distract the Aussie masses and discussion boards IMO.
There would be several images on the internet way before now if this were a true story. plenty of cameras around on the day IF true. A skirt does not blow up 'briefly' (no pun intended) under the influence of helicopter blade gusts.
Give me a break icy.
skirt hem looks weighted to me.
