The latest arrival of two vessels carrying 157 people takes the total number of illegal boats that have arrived on Labor’s watch past 700.
Over 42,000 people have arrived on 701 boats since the Rudd-Gillard Government dismantled the Howard Government’s border protection regime.
Labor’s decision to dismantle the Howard Government’s policies has put our country’s security at risk.
It has cost hundreds of lives lost at sea and resulted in thousands of people entering our communities without rigorous security checks.
Every illegal boat arrival cost Australians $12.8 million (on average) – and that’s money which could otherwise go to fund hospitals, roads and help repay debt.
It has seen border protection cost blowouts of more than $10 billion for a system that does not work – that’s money which could otherwise fund hospitals, roads and help repay debt.
Labor’s mismanagement has also included the detention of a convicted jihadist terrorist in low security family accommodation at Inverbrackie in South Australia.
This jihadist was a member of the terrorist organisation Egyptian Islamic Jihad, which merged with al Qaeda in 2001, many years before his arrival by boat.
With an average of 100 people now arriving every day, Australia cannot afford three more years of Labor failure.

Avoiding the question wont make it go away. More people (voters) will be asking the same question of TA about his stop the boat policy.. now that he has been exposed as having no concrete plans for implementing it.

Neither of you can see the similarity between border invasion and house invasion??
In both cases entry is gained uninvited and the invader knows that.
There are proper procedures in place for the legal mode of entry in both cases.
Circumventing the proper procedures in both cases is a violation.
What would you say to a flotilla of say a million people at one time invading the borders? Would it be acceptance or rejection? The only difference in a few or a million is the quantity.

I am not privvy to that sort of information so who ask me?
But I imagine you are privvy to what you would be likely to do in the situation that I have described in the home invader situation.
I doubt I will get an answer though because it may conflict with what you claim to believe:)
I answered your question am*3, perhaps you missed it 🙂

So at what number does it change to invasion that would involve militery action.

What hypothetical nonsense.:|
Find a chart of how many refugees flee to Australia as opposed to how many flee to other countries around the world and you should have some perspective.;-)
Find a chart on how many people are on the move globally fleeing persecution, hunger, war and get some perspective.;-)
To liken asylum seekers arriving by boat to someone creating a home invasion is nothing more than absurd.
There are proper procedures in place for the legal mode of entry in both cases
I chuckled at the above line Poddy. Can you tell me what is the legal method to invading someone's home ??:|
What are the PROPER PROCEDURES ??:|
Can you also tell me what Mr Abbotts Boat Policy is. Now that he knows the Indonesians won't allow them to be towed back and I doubt That the Indonesians will listen irrespective of how POLITE Mr Abbott wishes to be.:-)

No one is interested in house invasions, even ones done through proper procedures:^O
People are interested in TA's Stop the Boat policy though...where no invasions will be made because he is going to 'send them back' before they get a chance to come ashore.
How is he (if he becomes PM) going to achieve that.?

Yoda, is not uninvited entry invasion? Home or country invasion on a small scale or large is still invasion.
I stated there are proper procedures for ENTRY not invasion. Using the door with permission is the proper means of entry to your home. Using proper channels for entry into a country is the proper procedure.
You poeople keep harping on about Abbott and asking me what policies he has to deal with border protection, well I suggest you ask Abbott.

Is there no one prepared to say how they would view an intruder to their home demanding food, shelter, entertainment and even cash?
on 02-06-2013 10:50 PM
Who would say "Come on in, make yourself at home, here have one of the kids rooms, tell all your mates to come over too"

OMG:^O
