It is so cold here. If you have some sun please send it down to Melbourne.
Anyone else freezing down here?

I wish I could pack some of the sunshine and the temperatures and send them to all of you bracing the cold.
We are lucky. My eldest daughter lives here and so do some of my grandchildren and two great-grandchidren. One lovely Labrador and a fully grown German Shepherd to play with. Both are very well trained dogs and very affectionate. Also there are two beautiful cats. One just had kittens four weeks ago. Lots of furbabies to cuddle. I love it, as at home we are not allowed to have pets.
It costs us nothing for accomodation, only the cheap flights here and back. Although my daughter does not want any money for groceries, I insist to give her what we spend when we are at home. After all, we are not three day visitors, but here for three month.
We were here two years ago and loved the break. Even Peter, who is a born and bred Melbourne boy, loved the pece and serenity out here. For me it is a three month Paradise. My daughter won't let me do anything. No shopping, no cooking, no washing or cleaning. I am spoiled like a Queen.
Last year we could not travel because of my bad health, and I nearly froze to death despite running up an enormous electricity bill.
So from now on, every winter, as long as I can, we will spend winter in the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. So much to see, lots of things to do, or just relax and read a book.
What do the standard ostcards say? "Wish you were here."
warm hugs to all.
Erica

"Top of 10 degrees today in Melbourne it's freezing!"
as a wise man once said: "well, wrap a bit of singlet around it".

Oh you poor things!
Our minimum hasn't gone down to 10 yet
I have no idea how you cope, a cold day means a pair of socks for me.
Good for you Erica. We have lots of Southerners escape the cold. Now if I could only get away November to February.
