Re: Trump or Clinton?

Mr Trump will apparently reneg on or refuse to procede with the TPP.

breathing a sigh of relief on this one. I never did understand how or why our government would sign a trade deal with a foreign country which allowed foreign private enterprise companies the right and ability to sue our govt.

A private company suing the govt of a sovereign state? Only Rafferty's rules would allow this sorry state of affairs, surely?

Re: Trump or Clinton?

Here's how one can be elected with fewer actual votes than his/her opponent.  Imagine one state (New York) having a turnout of 90% for Clinton, yet she only wins 29 electoral votes.  California (and this is a purely hypothetical situation)  is won by Trump with 51% of the vote, yet he wins 55 electoral votes.  In this case, Hillary has an overwhelming human vote lead, yet loses.

You'll notice, in most cases, the urban areas of each state vote blue, while the rural areas vote red.  This has occured in many presidential elections.

Re: Trump or Clinton?

the trump presidency will be fun to watch, lets hope it doesnt become not fun but dangerous.

as it is he has more than 50% of the voting population not supporting him.

the voters that have supported him have been made promises, promises that i doubt he can fulfill. a lot of those ordinary people who put him into power are lets say 'gunhappy'. how long will they put up with a president who doesnt come through with his big promises?

i rekon he should be getting fitted for a bulletproof vest about now. not sure how he can protect his head though as its such a big target?

The fact that Hiliary is pro-abortion can account for some of the swing towards Trump. Mind you Trump has never said that he is anti-abortion as far as I know. I guess that many of his supporters just assumed that saying nothing was the same as opposing the opposition's view. They aren't very deep thinkers apparently. lol

mlor- he did say somewhere during his election campaign,  ( it was an interview) that women who have abortions should be thrown in jailWoman Surprised

Well he wanted Hiliary thrown in jail too but has obviously been told to shut up about that. He'll probably be told to shut up about the abortion issue as well. Watch the backtrack.

Thanks for the info imastawka ๐Ÿ˜Š
