No it wasn't me. I find it much better to leave discriminatory posts up where everyone can see them and who made the comments.

What on earth would make you think Mlor meant you?

Only one id on these boards can be defined by 'cold'  IMO

It was the following responding comment from another poster about " him being smart, driving a truck " A reference I took to my current farming activities.

How many male posters to these forums have a semi licence ???

I took this as a sad attempt at a derogatory remark about about my current career choice, in similar vein to some of the other comments made about those who chose to work in what many regard as non proffesional carreers.

More than one post has gone, so I can't judge. (and I missed 'em,  dammit)

But 'itchy and cold'....don't think that refers to you.    You have said on more than

one occasion that you prefer posts to stay, so people can judge for themselves.

Why cares who the comments were aimed at, they were still a put down aimed towards another poster, imo they were totally irrelevant, unnecessary and had nothing to with the topic being discussed

bty I wonder if Trump has been informed we now want to send the refugees on Manus Is/Nauru to the USA?   .....  Im am sure he will welcome them with open arms  ...... NOT

Fair enough stawka,

Getting right back on topic, I believe there where three words which made the difference between Trump or Clinton winning the Presidency. It was Clintons " basket of deplorables " comment.

This showed a level of contempt and disdain for poor and marginalised Americans which drove them to the polls ensuring Trunp won.

Or maybe people are just fed up with main stream politicians who promise the world and then give nothing? I am no fan of Trump and admittedly I thought Clinton would beat him but not because I like or trust her

Some interesting comments on Insiders this morning, some quick back pedlling happinging within our current government re Trumps election as president

Are you referring to my post?

If so you missed the mark - my post was to MLOR in reference to her post which had an untimely departure -

I have no idea what you/or your family do for a living and to be totally honest I don't care.  I think you maybe jumping at

shadows.

Again omg

My post was aimed at icy who called me elitist because I posted a quote about some Trump supporters being non college educated white people. Icy is the one who decided to bring my profession into the discussion. So I reacted by saying that my husband drives a garbage truck so the accusation of being elitist falls flat. Freddie then said she thought my husband was very smart to be able to drive a truck.

Chamelon I have no idea who you are or what you do. I don't care who you are or what you do either. I will say one thing I believe you genuinely misinterpreted what I said. Unlike others on this thread who want to imply that I am throwing nasty accusations around but seem to conveniently overlook what is thrown in my direction. Same old same old.

nothing wrong with your post - and for the life of me can't understand why it done the vanishing act.

The thing is that she did not call all Trump supporters deplorables , she was talking about the KKK, white supremacists etc.  You would need to listen to the whole speech and especially what she said before.  She should not have said half, but that was just a figure of speech.  She could have said "some" or "many".  But then again Trump called Mexicans criminals and rapists, and many still voted for him, he called women all sort of degrading names, and many also voted, for him.  He insulted veterans and disabled people ..........

The thing is HRC may be rich and part of establishment but her whole life she was fighting for underprivileged people in the USA and around the world.  She would have liked to introduce affordable medical insurance for all before her husband became president.  Their charity provides very efficiently help to people around the world.  Trump wants to destroy medicare, degrade education, make abortion illegal, introducing 40% tariff on imports will make all consumer goods lot more expensive, and the people who will suffer most will be the working and middle class who voted for him.
