"eBay is revamping its community area including the discussion boards. The change comes as eBay transitions away from using LiveWorld to moderate its boards. As we report in Monday's news story, eBay was not ready to provide more details when we broke the story last month. Who will moderate the boards - will it be brought in-house, or will eBay outsource it to another company? We'll have to wait to find out.
But we do know eBay is revamping the boards. Certain features will remain the same, but the design will change."
One change that is puzzling is how eBay will designate an employee's post. In the past, moderators' posts were always shown with a pink box - with the new design, posts from eBay employees will be identified by a blue box surrounding the post. Users had always referred to eBay forum moderators as "pinks" - so changing the color seems an odd decision.
Users have already expressed concern over what the change in moderation will mean for the user experience, so hearing that eBay will revamp the community area will likely cause more concern. On a positive note, eBay will move all previous posts to the updated forums.
What do you think of these changes, described here:

and what would you change on the eBay discussion boards if you could, and why?

They can't have people asking about this next generation when we are heading towards a new next generation.
Soon we will have the next next generation thread.

First off I have no issue with you and didnt intend to make it personal
But as you have directed that post towards me, I did say QUOTE "I have heard of people that have continued to come back with fake IDs over and over getting total bans or threat of it happening"
In your case it wasn't a fake ID it was your husbands ID
Now you can thank Joono for dragging me into this.
Actually hawk, the post my husband made while I was narp wasn't the one that led me to naru. It was months later that I became naru despite neither I nor any other member of my family posting during another of my end to end narps. When I returned to the boards a year or more later and had problems associated with the board needing help from the cyber police, it was interesting to learn that there had been IDs registered with my details of which I was unaware. Maybe you were aware of all this anyway.

No I wasn't aware that people had registered accounts using your details, I was only aware of you being NARPed when you or your OH started posting with with his account.
For what happened someone would have purchased or sold to the person to get your details for them to be able to have done that.

I do remember some time back a poster had offered a reward for my details, I wonder if this was for the same purpose ?:|
Its a bit of a worry to think Ebay wouldnt pick up on people creating fake accounts in other people's names

People's details are (or used to be in more innocent days) pretty easy to gather. Birthday threads on here give DOB, phone books give addresses and phone numbers, naively I have said things which give a lot of information away (as do many others) Also the person you are friends with this week may not be your friend in a month, as you probably remember from those times.
If the details are correct, why would ebay pick up IDs in the wrong name? My only grievance with ebay is that I was never told why I had been naru'd and refused to enter into any discussion with me. I expect I will be naru'd again eventually. I usually only last on the boards for up to a week before getting correspondence indicating my unwelcomeness even now.
