Political threads have their place in social media but I do not think 'Community Spirit' is the place.
The vitriol and nastiness some of these threads engender, leading to claims of interpersonal posts, removal of posts and frequent locking of threads all damage any Community Spirit which previously existed.
Freedom of speech is to be applauded but the current rash of political threads is 'infecting' the spirit of the Community Spirit board.
Does anyone agree with me?
Would anyone else be prepared to communicate with the moderators requesting consideration of this suggestion?
I have.

No .I am not asking posters to group together in an attempt to move members who post about a topic to another board.

Sorry Love*Today I didn't explain to you that Community Spirit boards are for general (non Ebay) related topics.
This topic is an Ebay one and also a protest against some members of the Community though I am sure that Laney didn't reaise how offensive it is for many in this Community to be labelled and held accountable for other posters vitriol.

the OP has not labeled anyone nor hold them accountable for others actions.

This is a reminder to be civil towards each other and refrain from interpersonal comments.
Thanks!

Who waas offended?
Those who disagreed with the concept of a new board said so.
I didn't take it that she was labelling everyone as anything.
Notice this morning there are hardly any political threads amongst the top threads.

There seems to be an ebb and flow of specific topics. Politics is a popular topic because it affects all of us in one way or another. There are less political threads today.

I thought this whole thread is about telling ebay and the mods how to do their job and how some members feel the place should be managed?
