WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I always enjoy your commentary on how you go about each puzzle. The humour and detail brings it to life.

So often we end up with the same dilemmas - this word or that word - but it’s especially intriguing when there’s a significant divergence because of the starters and eliminator we used.

Didn't have any sure fire answers after turn 1. Thought #1 might be smile, but nope. Lucky I never jumped in.
#6 I took a risk as I was pondering spool or scowl, just thought scowl was more likely.
The real pain though was #5. Early on, I had it tagged as maybe miner, diner, finer, nicer or infer.
I was able to rule out the C but wouldn't you know it, towards the end I was still left with M/D/F unexposed.  I hate it when that happens. Time for an eliminator.
I chose dumpy. Honestly, why i didn't just go with my usual fudgy I do not know. These impulsive moves rarely end well for me.  As it was, there was no F either though. I hadn't even thought of inner.

I was lacking any sure fire inspiration after turn 2, except I thought #1 might be dingo or bingo. Actually the second I saw it, I thought of Ringo. He was our dog and he died a few months back. I still expect to see him sometimes when I get home. I miss him.
Anyway, after 3 eliminators in a row, it started to work out, except for #4. If I had not had the green A to know at least how to start it off, I think I'd still be here trying to work it out. As it was, there were not many letters left by the end and I had a feeling B might be in second spot so it was a tedious matter of eilimination.
