Wembley ware dhufish vase. My mum had one. It was a very rare gift from my Dad, he wasn't known for spending money on frivolities.

I bought this one (and 2 others ) for nostalgic reasons. My sister has the original vase.

Your doll looks in good condition pimpy. Similar to mine but it has been well played with by me and my eldest when she was little.

Lovely photos back there of relllies and posters when they were younger.

I like that fish vase.

My Mum never had a Teddy Bear as a child (so the story goes). The big yellow one in the photo my Aunt bought for her when I was a small child. I played with it a lot. Most of the other teddies Mum bought for herself in later years, they are now in my care.

A hand-beaded evening bag from my Austrian great-grandma

and her calling card case, and an Edelweiss picked on the Austrian Alps.

TRUNK TOP.jpgTRUNK SIDE.jpg

This old trunk took my parents and us kids to and from the UK a couple of times,  , the label says Sitmar line which was Fairsky,  Fairstar

and Castel Felice, though the trunk originally was my grandfather's.       .

Re: Weekly photo challenge. Theme is NOSTALGIA

Hi, bright.ton,

memories of times past. I came to Australia on the Castel Felice in 1958.

I have lots of old photos, but at the moment they are packed away in a box to be posted to my eldest daughter, to add to the family papers I have given her.

Thanks for the memories.

Erica

You're welcome Erica.  Smiley Happy  they were the good old days sailing across the world in an ocean liner stopping at so many exotic places,   and all of us carrying hopes for a new future in our hearts, even though we were kids we did too.
