I have lots of treasured trinkets, but at my age this is only natural.
A beautiful hand stitched card, with NZ cut out of Paua shell, fro a friend in NZ when I got my first computer and joined an Arts and Craft group on the internet in 2001.

It's not much to look at, a battered and worn Swiss Army knife.
I've had it for a bit over 30 years, now. It carries a lot of fond memories.
It's funny, the things we hang on to through thick and thin and how special they are to us, yet to the outside observer as often as not they're just an object. I guess that's what makes treasured trinkets what they are; it's what they mean, to us.

It was the first time he called me "Mum" on Mothers Day.
Happy memories, Erica
