This thread is a positive one about joining in and motivating each other, not for making judgements on others, is it?
I have a small amount of motivation................... and I hate the treadmill, try hard to get in a routine with it but never did develop a liking for it.
I have not bought a chocolate for a month. 🙂

A diet with total deprivation just isn't going to work for anyone. I don't have a weight problem but it is all about general health, not just weight loss.
I must have my Sunday cooked breakfast but there are small changes that can be made to make it healthier. I love bacon, but now it is two pieces of the short cut with no fat. Eggs are poached instead of fried. Mushrooms are a must have and now I've got to add the tomato and asparagus. Can't wait til Sunday I'm pretty good for the rest of the week but I love to cook.

I was tempted to buy a treadmill but then read the reviews on many; it seems most models take hours to put together and break down often, many issues with getting a warranty honoured by retailers as well. Had any issues with it, az?
I bought one from ebay a few years ago, maybe 3 or 4? for about $600, no issues at all and it gets used daily.

I guess so xihuhan, but I do believe that anyone that is seriously into chocolate just needs to curb it back a bit, not give it up. For instance Amber (I think) that has her fridge stocked with Lindt should maybe just have a square or two It doesn't take long to get used to it.

I have issues with mine, it's become a clothes rack, I simply prefer a 1hr a day power walk in the fresh air outdoors.

I can't walk outdoors anymore, my arthritis is quite bad in my right foot and I find the treadmill is less harmful. I walk up to vist my FIL, so that's 2 ks a day outdoors but almost borderline for my foot.

Gawd, your a breath of fresh air aren't you and I must say - very encouraging, NOT!
I think my doctor and a diabetic dietician know a bit more than your self opiniated ideas. You do not have to go without everything you enjoy all the time to lead a healthy life. My doctor even gave me permission to eat whatever I wanted at Christmas and said you're never on a diet on your birthday and can relax a little on holidays.
Everyone's metabolism is different and each person has to work out how to stay within a healthy weight. I know lots who can eat anything and never put on weight, then there are those that just walk past a bakery and put on weight.
Oh, and by the way - a smiley at the end of your sentences makes no difference to the tone of your postings.
