Cat Cafe Melbourne is Australia’s first cat cafe!
We will offer a whole new social environment never before experienced in Australia.
We will provide a fun, comfortable, and most importantly, kitty filled space for you to relax and play with several lovely cats from rescue shelters.
The cats will live at the premises, therefore they will have everything they could possibly ever need right at their paw-tips.
Cat Cafe’s are becoming known world wide, the first opening in Taiwan in 1998, and since spreading to Japan, Vienna, Russia, Germany, China, Thailand, the UK, France, and more!
The success of Cat Cafes is due to several reasons, the main one being that cats are awesome.
In city centres it can be difficult to rent a flat that allows animals, and owning an animal for its entire life is a big responsibility and costly, therefore Cat Cafes are a great solution to these problems.
It has also been proven that interacting with cats can lower high blood pressure, stress, and anxiety.
I'd love to go there! Might keep an eye out for a weekend flight and accommodation package bargain and fly down for a bit of retail therapy and and kitteh interaction.

the thing is Im seriously cat deprived I'm not joking. I love them to bits, my last kitty passed two years ago
at 17 years old and I've never stopped missing him. But now I've got a cat hungry little dog that would make a cat's and my life a
total misery, and I agree one hour of cuddling wouldn't assuage (yep, great word alright, lol) my longing but it would
sure help.

Yeah, my daughter comes to visit the cat not me. Hahahahaha
Maybe you can visit a neighbour's cat

You might be surprised Brighton. My cat has successfully trained her third dog. It doesn't take a dog long to know his place.

If I were still a Melbournite I would go there. I am hoping to go to Melbourne in October to visit a friend who nis also a cat person.
Are these cats available for adoption. It would be one way to solve the problem of cat adoption. A bit of interaction and maybe the cat would adopt someone.
My cats don't mind being woken up for a cuddle. As long as it cuts both ways I suppose. I get woken for cuddlesd and pats in the middle of the night quite frequently. Can't say that I am always impressed by it though.

Those who are cat deprived might consider volunteering at a local animal shelter. The kitties in those places, sit in cages all day. They are very love deprived and would love to have some petting time. And it's a great cause that doesn't cost you any money. My brother volunteers at a no-kill shelter. He doesn't have much to do with the cats, as his job is to walk the dogs and muck out their stalls. But he gets a lot of fulfillment from doing this. He also fosters dogs at his home over the weekends. I don't know if his shelter fosters the cats though.

Many cats like to sleep next to(or on) a human. Cats are also very curious. My neighbor has a kitty who runs downstairs to see me every time I go over there. If I sit down, she plops herself in my lap.
This cafe' will have to find sociable kittys.
Once the cats understand that they are going to be loved by all the people who visit, they will seek out the attention(hopefully).
If you hate cats, don't go. If you love cats, then I suppose it's best to look at the bright side, which is: Their lives will be filled with love, shelter, and plenty of attention.
I don't know that I would pay for the privilege of giving a massage to a kitty, but that is because I already have my own demanding kitty.
Don't wear black pants if you plan to visit. 😉

Humans have interrupted (domesticated) cats. Nocturnal by pre-human intervention-nature, housecats have had to adapt to human schedules. My (now only inside-outside, once 13) 4 have an innate ability to know whenever I touch human food, that’s when they want in or out and of course, there is no denying a cat, they will irritate you to capitulation. The mathematical probability of this is mythical.
Ask me, I know, my schedules have been molested more than once and I’m getting too old to adapt anymore
“cat's like to sleep all day and they won't let you touch them when they're sleeping.”
I don’t know the appropriate hahaha on this board cause I laughed—my cats just purr when touched sleeping and get aggravated when I run them off when I’m (trying to) sleep.
Tomato soup, purr
“Don't wear black pants if you plan to visit.” Don’t wear black is what we tell everyone who visits us. Those who prefer black, don’t visit.

I'm not knocking the idea. It's just that cat's like to sleep all day and they won't let you touch them when they're sleeping.
Will they let you smash Pepsi cans and place 3 on them while their sleeping?

Don't wear black pants if you plan to visit.
I wear a lot of dark clothes. Three of my cats are entirely white, so I keep a lint roller in my car and on in my desk at work. I'm always rolling my pant legs. They love to rub up against my leg when I get dressed for work.
