What's the first thing that comes to your mind when someone tells you they're a vegetarian?

A good side dish for meat. Best when fried.
I second this. Had yummy spuds for dinner tonight - chats quartered and oven roasted with a little butter and salt.....went beautifully with the marinated chicken and greek salad ๐ ๐คค

I was thinking more steak and chips (and a couple of fried eggs), but your way would work. Depending on what a greek salad comprises.

Would love to be able to eat that and not have to worry about the consequences

my version........chunks of cucumber, red capsicum, tomato, feta cheese and sliced red onion with a lemon juice, garlic and olive oil dressing, salt and pepper to taste. It should have olives too but I don't bother as OH isn't keen.

That's pretty sparse, given I don't eat cucumber, capsicum, tomato, onion or pepper.
Which leaves cheese, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil and salt.
I could put salt, garlic, cheese and olive oil on the steak; lemon juice on the chips. Thanks for the tip.

Had steak n eggs this evening. Mash potatoes prepared Irish style - Milk heated separately butter added, some spice, once near to boil shallots are added for just about a minute, then mixed into the mash. Quite good. But the way I cook the steak is another matter mmmm

Garden knowledge - I need to beef up my gardening knowledge. It's probably best if I put this into a new topic, though.
In terms of vegetables, I've been going a little spinach-mad lately. Steamed spinach with butter, accompanied by Nicola potatoes slices thinly, parboiled, very lightly oiled, placed into air fryer, and 21 minutes later it's ready to go with pan-fried salmon or chicken. I've got to play with my sous-vide device as well as part of my "perfect steak" quest.
