I think they can speak a bit about a person in some cases. I like small tattoos on ladies. Roses and dolphins are fine to look at..

Old school tattoos on men beat the new ones. That's all I can say really.

Some time ago, I heard about an experiment where people were in a room and were asked to watch people pass by and calculate the person's class, if we can put it that way, based on appearances.

It seems that everyone who took part could do it in seconds, with an amazing degree of accuracy.

Another course I did (Framework of poverty) outlined that social classes differ slightly in clothes styles, colours, hairstyles and even teeth, with poorer people more likely to have bad teeth, which makes sense as dentistry is so expensive.

The woman giving the course invited us to place her in a class and say why. Of course, we could hear her speaking too, which was a help.

But everything about us speaks.

It may have been true that tattooes depicted a certain type of class , but this is not the case anymore. Many top models have tattoos, and I expect even the classiest lady may have a discreet one or two , just for fun.

I have a small tattoo on one ankle( not saying I'm classy) but it means a lot to me.

My daughter's shouted it to me for my 50th birthday. We all went to the tattoo parlor on the day. Had fun designing it prior to going and ended up with 2 bluebirds holding a scroll in their beaks with my daughter's names on it.

The tattoist liked it so much , he asked permission to use it on future clients.

Tattooes are an art form , as with all art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some are beautiful, some are ugly , but each one represents an indelible memory of the bearers life.

Whether they regret it, or not, I don't.

Never have , never will .
