I had a long depression glass cheese dish (like those ones in az's picture) deliverd in a gazillion pieces. They must have played football with it, or dropped it on the cement and backed over it with the delivery truck. The parcel literally tinkled when I picked it up. The dish was in dozens of pieces, yet, amazingly, the lid was still intact. That was around the same time as the fish vase, and the book that never showed up, and something else that was lost. I was starting to think that OH's ex-wife had got a job in the sorting room of the regional mail centre
I finally bought a dish to match the lid just recently
I have a very small collection of uranium glass. I'm a sucker for stuff that glows in the dark

One day, when I move my stuff into this house, I want to set up a black light display cabinet. At the moment nearly all of my dust collectors are still back at the old house.

wow, that's amazing. great find.
I always get so jealous of the people in the uk that pay 50p for something at a bootsale and it turns out to be 1200 years old and worth thousands of pounds. Or the ones that just dig up something in their garden. If I lived over there I would be an avid gardener ! I

Pimpy some guy over there dug up a huge lot of jewellery, stunning pieces.
You hear about people digging up ancient rings in their gardens
