so much complaining

last year i paid $1500 plus medicare(won't tell you the exact amount)

plus $1800 private health insurance.....that if i don't have i pay in tax anyway. and i don't get the full rebate.

but on the few occasions i have seen a doctor i have been out of pocket by about $40. doctors fee is $73 and get back $30 odd from medicare.

what a great system it is.

neither labor or liberals have done anything to fix this. i will vote for whoever does.

Don't know that it will go through.  Bob Hawke tried it in the 80's

Tried $3.50 Medicare co-payment,  unpopular.   Backed down

to $2.50 - No go.   Then abolished it

Bad illconcieved idea tax.

Last time similar tax was introduced it was withdrawn after 3 months.

The free to all bulk bill clinics won't like it either if it reduces the number of people they see in a day.
