My gas hot water broke a few weeks ago and a plumber came out and fixed it but he adjusted the temp to the highest number (7 I think) and it's been way to hot!
I turned it down to 6 but it's still too hot. So I've just turned it down to a 5.
What number do you have yours on? I'd like to be able to run the hot water tap alone wearing rubber gloves and not have it feel like I'm working with boiling water.

3 .1/2 to 4.
Hubby says it should have an indicator on it, to show what it should be.............but then ours is only a couple of yrs. old.

I got a small continuous gas hot water. It is so cool that I use mostly the hot tap.

That worries me. You need to raise the temperature. Please read:

Thanks! It's still too hot at 5 so I'll turn it down to 4.
Sheesh it's difficult having to be the man of the house too. *sigh*

Very important information. The temp needs to be at least 60ยฐC inside the tank - for those who prefer not to open links.

I'm pretty sure orabrush is talking about the type that doesnt have a tank.
My uncle has legionairres disease, its a nasty thing that never goes away and seems to cause or make worse lots of other illnesses.
