I'm quite excited about mine which is cooking now.
I'm boiling a chicken for stock. It's smelling good. When it's cooked, I'm going to use the meat to make a curry and the stock for cooking rice in. I'm going to add chopped onions to the rice and vegetables to the curry. Then I shall serve it up and it will be good and tasty and a bit oily 🙂
How about you?

Allie, I usually make up my own recipes ... if I taste something at a restaurant, I can usually recreate it ... or I just think it up. I have loads of recipe books that just sit there unread. I do check for cakes and pastry, though.
Giveme ... sounds great. Having a chardonnay here myself 🙂
Jonn, glad it went well. Might try it myself.
Glad you enjoyed it Newstart ... can you share the bear batter recipe? Thanks.

Oooops, you know what I mean, however I have tasted bear in Darwin but all mixed in with eel, crocodile, camel, snake, emu and others not remembered so when mixed together with vegies and tossed on the griddle all tasted like chicken which I did not have.LOL.

OK, go to your local SM and buy McCains beer battered steak fries, put on baking paper on about 250c, spray lightly with rice oil and bake until they are crispy. No fat, no oil and they are great. Now for free ads I want 1 years free supply of their steak fries but will go 50% with you.
I am having a very nice sav blanc ( J P Chenet ) French but very nice and only $7 a bottle.

I am envious of all this food. I love trying new recipes but I am moving house and most of my food is packed away. So for a few days I am having boring food. Tonight is a sausage with some vegetables. I always take the condoms off sausages before I cook them. No way I'm eating plastic or whatever it is.

Newstart, I usually make my own chips. I like to use a turbo oven, but I don't have one at the moment. Sometimes I make them in the oven. Other times I cut up a potato or two really thinly and then cook them in a frying pan 🙂
Allie, I think the sausage casings used to be made of intestines.
There are some meals that you can make simply ... eye fillet steak, salad, jacket potatoes; pasta with a quick tomato sauce; spaghetti with butter, grated cheese, freshly ground black pepper ... Welsh rarebit on toast ...
