How very sexist of you! Most of us can appreciate beauty in all its forms, and surely the only relevant question is "How competent is their frond-waving?"

Your (first) husband needs one of those cushioned plastic tray things. You can get them from K-Mart I think ๐
We actually have a couple of those but he doesn't like them because (a) you can't fit enough on them, (b) he doesn't really have enough "lap" {he does - it's just that his belly takes up all the room}, and (c) if he needs to get up to get another Corona (because I won't do it for him and the pool boy won't because he only takes orders from me), then you have to put the Stable Table somewhere safe so the lurking, chop-loving moodle doesn't get at it while you're at the fridge.
It's a pity that a man who often makes lesser mortals quake in their boots has been completely undone by one small, slightly naughty, dog.
Cheers,
Marina.

Melbourne usually gets Adelaide's weather so we're forecast 40 on Thursday - I'd love some 30s but not 40s thanks. At least I'll get to use my new aircon.

I checked weather on-line earlier, cool change coming through. Says only 22 on Thursday in Melb. Could be wrong though - wouldn't be the first time

that would be right, they're always changing it here in Melbourne. Must say I'd not like 40.

It's Melbourne. If you don't like the weather - wait a minute. Hahahahaha

Marina, another option is a fold-away small table, like a card table style...just for the Cricket season.
Camping places, garden centres and the like may have something suitable.
It's going to be appallingly hot here too for a couple of days...sigh.
Thank you for your kind suggestions, but I am not so kind, and secretly enjoy the comic drama of a small dog having the drop on a big man. He's currently enjoying a reprieve because we are holidaying in Noosa, and the dog is in the boarding kennels.
If I was even less kind, I would point out the absolute perfection of the weather here at the moment, but I wouldn't want to upset anyone.
Marina.
