I changed my name on marriage from one no one could pronounce or spell to something a lot easier to manage.
When we split up my ex asked me if I was going back to my old name. I told him not a chance.
Every day I look at my married surname and am glad of it, despite my old name having an interesting history and in Oz at least, being somewhat rare. My brother and mother now pronounce the family name more like it is spelt, but it is still a bit of a headache.
I am very comfortable with my married name.

I have a friend whose mother in law was overjoyed when he said he would take his wife's surname when they married.
There was only his fiancée and her sister and their mother hated the thought of their name dying out.
She changed her mind though when the penny finally dropped.
His name is Richard and she was horrified when she realised that everyone called him Dick...his wife's maiden name was Puller.
Meet bob(and whichever other add on it has)
Totally not funny. Should I put that in slanty text?

If it's totally not funny I suspect nobody is going to laugh at it whatever text you put it in.

Did I step on toes?
If not, why the defence of the bob character? Or do you not read around, rather just pounce on posters that you don't agree with. Totally sad on your part.

Any other nics I should steer clear of?
Because this no discussion thing, unless it goes down the party lines thing is getting old.

so is your constant accusatory attitude.
Maybe you and yours should have read around before you posted like your usual bullying tactic.
Damn, won't let me post under the line.
