I just installed windows 10, in like Flynn. It looks nice and clean but too much stuff on my task bar now so I'll have to sort out what I need and what I want to get rid of.
Has anyone else done it and any tips? I'm a bit too busy to muck around much today but any good pointers would be nice and for a start, how do you shut down your computer?!!

No, the news thing was automatic when you download 10. I got rid of some stuff but not that.

Bluddy hub probably thought "she won't need that"
He left lots of stuff on the laptop, but for some reason
I am left with bare bones on the PC

I also got the notification, Joono. Great feature.
My only small criticism was that it was a little slow - if a tsunami was heading our way, the alert wouldn't help much. Then again they did have to compose the article, so I guess I'm just being picky.

Hahaha If there's a meteor headed my way I hope they don't tell me.

Hi joa_ell, Windows 10 processed fast enough for my home office tasks using my relatively high-end spec pentiumD workstation , so maybe ok for your machine however upgrading from oem XP or oem VISTA is not a free upgrade, the cost being somewhat over $100.
This may or may not be a factor for you.

I havn't taken the plunge yet, quite happy with my windows 7. might wait off a while....
sick of that little upgrade pop up which comes up randomly on my screen. I heard it is a 12 month trial, but the pop up says it is the full version and not a trial?

Hi Oz.
I'm not sure about the trial aspect (once installed you get to keep it and it is the full version) but Win 10 is a free upgrade for 12 months after launch.
