Without success,,,

I have been trying to find information on how people recover from Corvid-19 - i mean at a biological process level

Seems a search engine fixation on how to catch the disease , how many die , what to do to reduce infection but nothing on how the body defeats the SARS-CoV-2 virus

Anyone out there had any luck in finding any information ?

Doesn't make any sense to me, once it enters the respiratory system you're done, no amount of flushing will wash it away.

Re: Without success,,,

The virus enters the body via the nose, mouth or eyes. It is very likely that it would first enter the lungs (through inhalation) and then the blood. From the blood it may travel to other organs, including vital organs. So from where is water washing the virus into the stomach?

The respiratory system as defined by the lungs was not the issue , just the mouth and throat - the virus seems to need a critical mass to overwhelm the natural defenses ( pending a successful immune response ) - so i think the thought is to reduce the mass by dislodging any virus from the mouth and throat for chemical treatment further down , particularly if one suffers a raw throat due to other health issues

Re: Without success,,,

How often does one breathe? you'd have to take a drink every few seconds if you thought it would do any good

Once any amount of the virus is in your mouth.. the breath you take draws it into your lungs straight away

think about it

As I understand it, the virus is mostly transmitted from the hand to the mouth and nose. Hence the need to wash hands often and thoroughy.

From there it would enter the lungs via the trachea, as it would also, if inhaled.

However, frequent sips of water would flush the virus down the oesophagus and into the stomach, before it could make it's way to the  the lungs.

Gastric acids in the stomach would destroy the virus.

I haven't heard or read anything about the virus entering the bloodstream. That's a new one on me.

It's a respiratory virus.
