Woollies Torch search

i bought a little LED torch in woolies a while back, last year some time.

when i walk leroy at night its fantastic, fits in my pocket and when in use gives a really good light.

so, i want another one, but my local woollies hasnt got any

acording to the woollies website they should be 'in stock' but alas not and the girl at the front counter was, well less than helpful.

so i'm asking if anyone out there shops in a woolies can see if their shop has one.

its an XSTREEM 16LED Flashlight $18.50

i took some pictures, its 5 inches long so not very big

Re: Woollies Torch search

David, I checked online and all of the Woolworths stores in my area are showing it to be in stock. I contacted the store I shop in and the lady confirmed it is in stock.

She couldn't help me find out if your store has it because I couldn't tell her the exact store you went to. She said if you ring your store, ask to speak with the Long Life Manager and quote the item reference number  - 265573, the person will let you know if it is in stock or if it can be ordered. Hope this helps.

David, hubby has a collection of Maglite torches.   Swears by 'em.

He has one of these in the glove box  it sends out a lot of light.

Re: Woollies Torch search

i visited my local store 'kadina' today and they dont have the 16 LED version, only a 1 LED version. on the wall

they are next to the batteries

yes, mine is a 16 LED version, and the online things shows 'instock' for kadina

i talked to the girl at the front of store 'help desk' but she was pretty useless

'if theres none there we havent got any, we dont order things in for customers'

funny thing is, i cant find this brand of torch anywhere else

there is a web site for the brand but it doesnt say where they are, i'm guessing they are in the USA but its just a guess.

Re: Woollies Torch search

i know there are other brands (i did check on ebay) so many torches its reiculous.

but i like this one so if i can get another i will be happy

the reason i started looking into a spare one is i thought id dropped mine somewhere, as on monday night when i was about to head out with leroy i couldnt find it anywhere.

i usually keep it just by the front door with his lead and my beanie. (cant go out without ma beanie)

it wasnt there! checked in coat pockets ect but nope, had to use my old old torch that was pre LED, was almost as bad as walking without a torch. dull as.

of course in the light of day tuesday i realised when i walked sunday night i put on my rain coat, there it was in the pocket, id hung it outside to dry, as it was raining sunday night.

Re: Woollies Torch search

I shop at Woolies and have for many years.  I've had a couple of those torches and they don't last (they advertise 1000 hours) which is why I suggested the Maglite.

I can't convince you to buy a Maglite?

Features:

  • High intensity light beam in a compact design
  • Beam distance of to 20m
  • Adjustable light beam from Wide Flood to Intense Spotlight
  • Durable machined aluminum alloy case
  • Water, Shock and Corrosion resistant
  • Ten year limited Maglite warranty
  • Manufactured in the USA

Go on,  you know you want to..............................

Re: Woollies Torch search

Security guards love them. When fully loaded with A batteries, they weigh the best part of a kilo. They also work as a torch.
