For some strange reason I'm finding it difficult to post comments on some political threads so I decided to start my own.
I would have to say the worst government in recent history would have to be the one lead by Gough, with those lead by Howard and Abbott being a close second.
Compared to those three, the Rudd and Gillard Government Punch and Judy show doesn’t rate mention.

The simple fact is:
Rudd/Gillard/Rudd is and was the worst government in history.
If they are to be considered for one thing and one thing only? they destroyed all trust in politicians and ruined the politc for decades to come.
Thats: just one thing, the other failures are too many to mention.

"thats an opinion not a fact. a flawed opinion to boot."
and that's only your opinion which doesn't necessarily reflect the opinion of other posters.

What did they do to earn such contempt?

ok where to start?
Ms Gillard backstabbing her boss for the job
Her handling of the Slipper affair
Her handling of the Thomson affair
@her involvement in the union slush fund with Bruce Wilson @ Slater & Gordon
her painting a target on Australia by allowing a US marine installation at Darwin (aimed at China one of our biggest trading partners)
her gender wars
never mind the carbon tax lie
creating such a shambles of the party that she had to be replaced by none other than previous reject Mr Rudd....what the?
Mr Rudd throwing benefits around like lollies in a transparent and pathetic attempt to lure the Aus voter back to Labor.
Totally put me off the Labor party.
In other words lets just blame everything on Gillard. She and everyone else should know being PM is a man's job.
Not so. Everyone was full of good will toward out new female PM, including me.
Yep, the gender wars must have been her fault. By virtue of being a woman she must have deserved to be called barren, to be asked when Tim would make an honest woman of her, to be likened to a cow, to be called BB's biitch, asked why she won't lie down and die. DId you hear the one about the women? These women are destroying the joint, how dare they trespass in man's domain and take on powerful positions.
Yet she tolerated, in fact welcomed Peter Slipper despite his views on women. Where was her outrage there? Did you ever read the emails he sent to James Ashby? http://www.news.com.au/national/revealed-what-peter-slippers-sexist-text-messages-actually-said/stor...
Didn't bat an eyelid there, did we?
All those examples are straight out of the mouths of Bolt, Ackerman and co. Every single one of them.
No need to be insulting, I can make my own opinions from what I read, hear and see thank you. I haven't read Piers Ackerman in years and only started watching Bolt a few weeks ago.
How was her treatment of Slipper worse than the LNP's treatment of Slipper? Was she at his wedding? Did she pre-select him all those times?
Yet she thought she had a political winner when she lured him over to parliamentary speaker, despite her surely knowing of his drinking and unsavoury sexual habits.
Another example of her poor judgement.

How did she backstab Rudd on her own? The rest of the party have nothing to do with it?
Yet you would have such a party back in office?
What was that carbon tax lie again? Did she not say there would be a price on carbon?
It's not even about the carbon tax. Most voters would've been happy to forgive that, knowing things don't always turn out as planned.

No, the actions that destroyed trust in politics was the behaviour of the Libs whilst in opposition and the pullers of the looters party purse zips at the IPA/NewsCorp.
Did you see the child like behaviour of Abbott and Pyne as they bolted for the door in an attempt to mock the parliament? Did you see Pyne poke his tongue out at the speaker? Did you hear about all the suspension of standing orders they pulled almost every sitting day?

no your opinion of SF's opinion is just another opinion, and not necessarily a valid one at that. 🙂

so you fell for the spin in other words . i can't blame people for that, the pressure to join in and bag her was immense.
