I've been to 7 or 8 of those places but the one that really stopped me in my tracks was the "Mona Lisa" sooo small, I'd always imagined it to be really big, I preferred other pictures in the Louvre,
Been to New York, loved it and we found the people to be very friendly, Central Park is huge, we didn't see it all.

If you went in the days you could climb the pyramids that would also explain you lack of knowledge on how close Cairo has got to the pyramids and Sphinx.
oh, I just re read your post and realised it wasn't to me, although there were fools climbing the pyramids when I was there, (2years ago) even though there were signs telling people not to. Some people have no respect i suppose. The camel was great and no way could I have walked, too hot and too lazy. We went from Giza to the Pyramids by camel and horse. It was an experience but I wouldn't be keen on returning to Egypt unless on a fancy boat trip on the Nile. They do look like rubble close up, (at least the one we stood in front of did) will have to wait for young mr boris to come home for pic.

I somehow thought that the Little Mermaid would be bigger and further out from shore. It is beautiful though. I can't help thinking of Danny Kaye when I think of the Little Mermaid.

What magnificent images, wish I could visit them all. I too thought Niagara Falls was in the middle of nowhere.
