I parked in a local side st last night while i took my dog for walk and when i came
Back there was a parking ticket naming a street 3km away in a different suburb with Permit Zone on it. Not only wrong st but the st i parked in has no restrictions. What the ...... but how can i prove they are wrong?..

It's a pity you didn't take a photo, but realistically, I suppose that is not 'proof' as anyone could move a car.
I'd simply write it up as clearly as possible. State exactly where you were parked-street name and even near what numbers, the exact spot and times you were parked and date. Explain there are no parking restrictions in that street.
Then point out the discrepancies and the fact the street named on the ticket is 3km away.
Do not expect the council employee who reads it to know automatically that the streets are not near each other or that your street has no restrictions. You will have to spell it out to them. Good luck.

makes one wonder just what proof the council has to show that your car was where the inspector says it was?
do they have a GPS co-ordinate?
if its just your word against his then i cant see any way to prove the ticket was wrong.
its unlikely your car was the only one on that street who got a ticket but finding anyone else would also be bloomin difficult.
maybe facebook? i often read of people putting stuff on FB and getting results.

I did take a photo and none of the other cars there had a ticket. I'm hoping he took a photo then it will show it's the wrong street. I have written a protest and sent photos but of course i cd have driven the car there for the photos. Surely they have a double check somehow otherwise anyone cd fall victim to this. Says it cd take 90 days to hear from them .

But I don't know how to prove it, it's my word against theirs.

He said, she said. Not givng up makes it true.
Keep at them. I would also go down there in person, even asking to see the person that
wrote the ticket, and asking them how it could happen.
If you give up, they win. They just might have some Christmas Spirit in them and let you off.
You never know your luck, Bright.

Persist, sign a stat dec, speak to your local councilor if they do not retract it.

Bright.
Stick to your guns.
You weren't in that street - they are hard pushed to say you were.
It's a bit of paper.
Your word is as good as theirs.
Probably better.
Good idea to go - take your pics - and - a stat dec.
Hand it to them - ' nicely '.

Just a question Bright.
Where did you walk your dog.??
If it's a park or beach or whatever - you are not going to park 3 klms away - to walk.
Common sense - & - fight it.

The big dog park is literally just round the corner..
