there used to be a competition on UK radio, where they set a problem and then people dialled in with the answer - anyone who got it right won a big$ prize. ALL the time I was watching / listening I didn't see anyone win it? It may be still on ? It went something like this:

ADD ALL THE NUMBERS

TWELVE TIMES TWO

PLUS SIXTEEN

MINUS SEVEN

At the end of the show they gave out the answer - but I won't tell you yet

did anyone have a go? Can anyone solve it?

where does it say roman numerals ? thats vile lnp trickery rabbit, it reminds me of all those silver plated chains you complained of so strongly 😛

it doesn't say roman numerals - that's only my theory. If you have a better one you are welcome to share it with us ]:)

errr well it doesn't really make any sense, grasping at straws kinda thing

12 = 1+2  = 3

12x2 = 24 = 2+4 = 6

plus 16 = 1+6 = 7

6+7 = 13

minus 7

and ummm well then it kinda went out the window I added the 7's to get 14 and added the 14 on to the end of 313.

It's not logical. or I could add the 14 to get 5 which would give me 3135

still not correct but maybe on the right track ?
