I remember when news agents had a stand out the front
with Papers under a rock
You took a Paper and left the money on the stand
Now days they would steal the money, the papers and the stand
and throw the rock through the window as they were running away

You must disagree with her, she said exactly the same as I did and you disagree with me.
Your little world of Brisbane was obviously an isolated place that was different to how words
Were used in the rest of the world.
And Brisbane was small, isolated back in the 60's.
I repeat, I stated what Brisbane was like in the 1960s. I did not state what happened in the rest of the world.
If you choose to not believe me, your choice. I don't care.

I don't think all this really matters
My daughter is gay and I prefer that word to lesbian/homosexual - it sounds happy .
When I was a kid "gay" meant happy or bright. I went to school with a couple of "Gays". Don't know and couldn't care less when I realised it also meant homosexual.
I think a few are falling for the old "wind-up" trick.

When it clearly was, just not in your circle in Brisbane.

I did not disagree, read back. I have no idea what happened in the rest of the world, and I did not say that I did.
As far as I know, there is only one poster here who is in my age group, and they have not commented on this subject.
So younger ones would not know, would they?

Re: do you remember a time when it was a better place to live?
Personally? - Nope - plain and simple.

This is in reply to NO ONE, just following the thread. 🙂

The point is Devon is NOT Fritz. It doesn't even resemble fritz apart from the similarity of shape. :D:D
