grizz, have you tried organic coconut oil?
I bought some from the health shop and while I wouldn't say it's a cure, it did help and you can use a cotton bud to use for your ears.
Oh, don't double dip !!! or you'll put germs in the oil.

A bucket of warm salty water put your head into the bucket for 10 minutes.

The reason I tried the oil is because I read about the steroid type creams and how, if they are used for long periods of time, the cream can cause more trouble than the original complaint. For some people it took a couple of years to be rid of the skin irritations caused by the creams.

and never grew out of it, like you it just goes from one spot to another.
I used to use steroid oitments..... but it doesnt seem as bad in my 40's as it has previously.
I have a beewax natural moisturising cream that seems to work. but I got it locally from some hippies....
