the way the authorites keep upping the ante on this virus, remember it wasnt such a big deal when the first 'package' was anounced, now its close to you cant leave the house.
i just thought 'well i dont need a mask(s) but who knows what we will get told next week, right?
so i'll see if anyone knows of anywhere to get a few, not fill my spare room with them.
as all i'm reading and hearing is they are sold out everywhere.

why would i want to know you havent bought any masks when the question is 'have you bought any masks?'
and i do know its a public forum but unfortunately some of the public leave no wonder they flock to a public beach when told not to.
Why? Cause you asked whether people had bought any masks ...... to which the CORRECT answer would be either yes or no

well, people, it was a serious question
sadly most of you turned it into another argument.
i dont need a lecture
just a simple 'yes i bought some masks from ....'
otherwise shut the F up!
for cryin out loud!
So a No would be an unacceptable answer?

I'm no Rhodes Scholar...but surely your question asks for a yes or no answer?
Btw...thought I was doing the right thing by wearing mask & gloves to supermarket this morning...felt quite foolish when I discovered everyone else was wearing clothes...boom tish!

Australia seizes faulty coronavirus protective equipment imported from China
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-01/coronavirus-chinese-ppe-border-force-intercepted/12085908
obviously these would be as useful as a t-shirt pulled up over your nose

"I'm no Rhodes Scholar"

Well...really.
A T-shirt pullled over your nose is just as effective as a mask made in China, IMO.

After my quarantine has ended I will absolutely be wearing a mask when out and about.
They won't protect you from coughs and sneezes but they will sure as heck protect you
from face touching transmission. Face touching is an almost unconsious act.
Especially when I can go to the supermarket again. Most of the stuff on the shelves has
been touched by unknown people so I am not going to rush off and wash my hands between
items.

When I first read online how many times you touch your face in a hour I thought I dont do that.
YES I Do, once I was aware of it I realised because of hay fever I am always rubbing my itchy nose or putting my hand over my mouth when I sneeze.
I think I have nearly washed my finger prints off on my hands now

Never going to happen in Aus as there are to many self important people that believe that they are immune.
They just will not get served in the shops
The shops will issue face masks, same as they're offering hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes for the shopping trolleys.
Refuse customers, go out of business.
Just those that do not conform to the law or reasonable standards of behavior or disturbing displays of non-conformity like looking to content ... - shops are private property
