there is that law here that i am not allowed to promote hate speech which is fine with me.
religious books however are excepted.
even though they have a serious impact on society.
i do understand why it is so but it is still madness to allow a book to be published that demands that people kill other people because they have different thoughts.
we are reaping the harvest.
ah well...

It's an anti muslim baiting thread.
Nice.

Just waiting for it were you. No wonder the op didn't respond to the baits.

What bait? The only baiting comment was the OP. I just asked a question.
I assumed that the topic was in reference to some news incident relating to a new publication but google didn't return anything.
In hindsight I should have guessed the real purpose of the thread.
I suspect the OP hasn't responded to the subsequent comments because she realised her point was moot as soon as she posted.

Freedom of expression ?
LOL
Not allowed uness you agree with the OP, see the I hate Abbott thread.
Of course anyone can disagree with any opening post. Or agree. If posts contravene board usage policy by being hostile, interpersonal or offensive.. then they could be removed for those reasons only.

What "they" class as offensive, many don't.
You only have to look at the bleeped out words to see how tame this site is.
One thing I have noticed is some on this forum don't like thread drift, AND Goodwins law doesn't apply
on this forum whereas it does on most.

you obviously don't understand what is meant by hate speech in Australia and by the way op religion is not included in what is considered hate speech, do you understand the word hypocrite idlewhil?
https://www.humanrights.gov.au/news/speeches/hate-and-regulation-speech
At the federal level, the regulation of speech does not cover religion. Insofar as we are referring to hate speech laws in Australia, religion is not covered. There is only one place in Australia where it is: the state of Victoria. But under Commonwealth law, vilification is prohibited only with respect to the following attributes: race, colour, ethnicity and national origin. If you were to say something that offends or denigrates someone on religious grounds, there is nothing you can do under the Racial Discrimination Act.

Quite possibly, a lot don't even know what Godwins' Law is, or states!

I would say very few know what it is as it hasn't been cited here while I have been on, which is unusual.
Hence my comment on the tameness of this forum.
